Hopes for the Future

We hope to learn better how to be a church and diocese...

where worship is the heartbeat of our corporate and individual lives

Where sharing the Spirit is as natural as breathing

where the wonderful works of God are beheld with joyous awe

where prayer is our common language

where stewardship is considered a privilege

where hospitality is understood as sacred duty

where evangelism is as normative as coffee after church

where hardships are met with courage

where hard hearts are confronted with compassion

where the brokenness of life is continually lifted up to God for healing

where the light of Christ shines forth in our lives in ways that entice more than antagonize

where the gifts and abilities of every person are recognized and utilized

where every member, lay and ordained, feels needed for the spread of God's kingdom both nearby and far away

where the ministry of the bishop is revealed as Christ's gift for the well-being of the church and the focus of its mission

where strangers marvel at how much we love the Lord and each other

...and that all we do bears witness to the power of

the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,

and the love of God,

and the communion of the Holy Spirit
